Origin: In ancient Rome, military leader, Magnus Pius devoted his life to defeating the imperial ambitions of Julius Caesar and his nephew, Octavian (future Emperor of Rome, Augustus), during the last civil wars of the Roman Republic. His was the last organized resistance to the formation of the Roman Empire.

In 36 BC, Octavian's fleet had destroyed all, but seventeen of Magnus Pius's ships, in storms, at the legendary Battle of Naulochus. One of them, The Troy, carrying his newborn daughter, Donna Magna, to an Amazon outpost in Asia Minor, ..was attacked, as Magnus watched from shore! Athe doomed vessel vanished into the maelstrom, seemingly forever, he cried out to Minerva, to deliver Donna to the protection of the Amazons!

Hoping to reunite his family, after Naulochus, the Roman revolutionary set sail for Asia Minor, ..but, he would never see his precious daughter, again.

Miraculously, the still-burning Troy reappeared, centuries later, in stormy seas, near Themyscira Isle, home of the Amazons! After pulling little Donna from the flames, young Amazon Princess Diana (Wonder Woman) carried the babe, to her mother, Queen Hippolyta, ..who adopted Donna and raised her, as her own daughter.

When Princess Donna was old enough to ask, Hippolyta told her the strange story of how she had come to the island.. and of how her parents, Magnus Pius and his Amazon wife, Vonia, had died heroically in ancient Rome, after sending her to their protection! Donna learned that, when her ordeal on the Troy had left her, near death, her 3,000 warrior sisters made the ultimate sacrifice, for her - that Mala had modified the Purple Ray to impart a portion of each Amazon's awesome power to Donna, ..saving her life! She would spend her girlhood, honoring their courage - training to be among the fittest and fiercest of the Amazons - and, for a time on time-lost Themyscira...

She, Diana and Hippolyta would be inseparable.

Discovering the Purple Ray had unexpectedly endowed her, with abilities, nearly as terrific, as Wonder Woman's, teenaged Donna decided it was time to return to the world, Magnus Pius had tried to save ..and followed Diana into Man's World!

There, 'Donna Troy' befriended and saved the life of US Air Force Intelligence officer, General Phillip Darnell, a friend of Diana's, who welcomed the girl into his small family and became her legal guardian, in the United States. Roaming the world's bleakest war zones, ancient ruins and top-secret military bases, with her adoptive father, Donna grew up, learning mankind's darkest and strangest secrets, while secretly battling the forces of evil, with Darnell, Wonder Woman and the New Teen Titans, ..as Wonder Girl.

Now, a trend-setting lifestyle blogger (with 'Roar' blog) and crusading photojournalist, Donna Troy honors her freedom-loving Amazon creed and Roman heritage, using her powers to fight injustice and oppression, wherever it's too long ignored! It's in her blood...

Revolution!

     ----------    P   O   W   E   R   S    |    W   E   A   P   O   N   S    ----------

Powers and Abilities: Trained by Amazons, Revolution is a highly skilled huntress and warrior. Infused, by the Purple Healing Ray, with powers, similar to Wonder Woman's, she has superhuman strength, speed, agility, senses, endurance and an accelerated healing factor, as exhibited in battles with gods and monsters. Supernatural communion, with Greek goddess Artemis, gives her kinship with wild beasts. While she can fly, under her own power, she can also glide on wind currents, for limited periods of time, and physically endure the pressures of the ocean depths, when swimming.

Weapons: Revolution's magic Lasso of Persuasion compels sentient beings to obey her commands. Her indestructible, Amazonium metal sword and bracelets can repel bullets and other weapons, like lasers and energy blasts.

KILLBILLEUS 2: WHY TYNION'S CIRCE IS STILL THE TORMENTED, IMPLACABLE DRACULA OF WONDER WOMAN'S ROGUES

By Edgar Miraculous Dyer With DC Comics'  Rebirth publishing event in 2021, Greg Rucka's award-winning  Wonder Woman  reboot re-introduced us to the Immortal Amazon's enduring witch foe, Circe,  ..re-imagined as a quirky,  Doctor Who'ish creature, trolling the space-time continuum from her mystical and inter-dimensional palace,  Aeaea!   I have and have had, since the 80s, a real problem accepting a generic  sorceress as Wonder Woman's archnemesis, if only because I don't see 'fighting magic [?]' ..as a rationale for Wonder Woman's presence in the world of mortal men - that's NOT why she left her Paradise Island! Besides that, I just don't like sorceress antagonists much and never have. What does a world, conquered by Circe or any other sorceress, look like, anyway? Why should Wonder Woman or anyone fear it? Is it wild boar falling from the sky? Global chocolate shortage? All of humanity lost in a violent nightmare, she'll never let

GREAT HERA! IS THIS THE END OF THE WORLD-BUILDING CLOONAN-CONRAD ERA...OR IS IT?!

By Mel Dyer Imagine... Etta Candy, sharp-shooting Texas rancher-girl!  Colonel Steve,   ex-militaire  coming out of World War II! Dr. Minerva, weird, werecat lady scientist and... Siegfried the Viking, dragon-slaying hero of German myth! Now, imagine them joining William Moulton Marston's  Wonder Woman  ..and over three-thousand savage, half-naked AMAZONS, ..red-hot from the Amazing Amazon's wild, time-leaping, empire-toppling adventures in the Golden Age of COMICS! That would've been a helluva leap into the Silver Age Fifties for this historically low-selling comic, ..if it had happened. Well, it didn't happen, ..but t hat is the kind of excitement, which  the Michael W. Conrad/Becky Cloonan run - electrified by  editor Brittany Holzherr,  ..artists Travis Moore, Terry Dodson, Skylar Partridge, Amancay Nahuelpan, Tamara Bonvillain, Pat Brosseau and others ..s et the stage for   in mid-2021! Now, the Wonder Woman comic has a dynamic regular CAST, interesting recu

COMBINING THE BIGBADITUDE OF THANOS WITH CHEETAH'S FEROCITY, IS JANUS WONDER WOMAN'S GREATEST SUPERVILLAIN?

By Edgar Miraculous Dyer JANUS might be the most important co ntribution of the current run on Wonder Woman,  ..2021-present. In Janus, the Roman god of Time itself, Wonder Woman finds the ultimate, never-ending battle for freedom, as no one - not even DC Comics superheroes - may resist the dominion of time.  Not since Gail Simone's universally appealing  Queen of Fables,  has a Wonder-comic villain been in a better position to threaten the entire DC Universe, in all its genres. Bringing magic and science together, as Wonder Woman herself does, ..Janus-creators Michael W. Conrad and Becky Cloonan have finally given the leading lady the sort of classic, all-seasons archenemy, she's been missing since World War II! She is so much more, than Wonder Woman's  'Batman Who Laughs'.  I chuckle every time I see that in print, ..and I challenge any DC Comics fan or creator to read  Wonder Woman:   Afterworlds  all over again, if that's all they got out of it. Janus  is
